What value does Twitter provide for public relations professionals?
I was talking to a colleague the other day about the value of Twitter for fund raising organizations. She suggested Twitter could be a highly effective tool for fundraisers because it allows them to reach into their contributor networks to get their story told. So that got me thinking about how Public Relations professionals could benefit from Twitter. Then we started talking about, 1) should the Twitter account be branded to the company or the individual, 2) how would PR professionals use Twitter to get the message out without sounding too corporate, 3) How frequently should the PR staff Twitter 4) what should they Twitter about. So what’s your opinion. Are you using Twitter for PR (public relations) purposes? Is this an emerging strategy for your organization?
