What vaccines are required in order to attend college at SUNY Canton?
According to New York State law, students are required to document their immunity to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR). The following is required by law: Required Immunizations: Measles, Mumps and Rubella βTo comply with New York State’s immunization laws, all students born on or after January 1, 1957 will have to show adequate proof of immunization against measles, mumps and rubella. Proof of immunity consists of: Measles β Two doses of live measles vaccine: the first dose given no more than 4 days prior to the student’s first birthday and the second dose 28 days after the first dose, physician documentation of measles disease or a blood test showing immunity. Vaccines given prior to 1968 are only valid if proven to be live vaccine without gamma globulin. Mumps β One dose of live mumps vaccine given no more than 4 days prior to the student’s first birthday or physician documentation of mumps disease or a blood test showing immunity (titer). Live vaccine was available after January 1,
