What UVa departments offer degrees through CGEP?
UVa’s CGEP contribution is focused upon supporting students who want to earn non-research Masters of Engineering degrees. UVa currently offers six Masters of Engineering degrees through CGEP – in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, and Systems & Information Engineering. In addition to the degrees offered by UVa, the other CGEP schools offer a set of degrees through the program. UVa recognizes that some students in the distance environment might be interested in Masters of Science or Ph.D. degrees. While the UVa courses offered through CGEP can be used to support such degree programs, both the M.S. and Ph.D. programs have additional requirements (e.g. research & residency) beyond coursework.
