What usually determines a wall mounted or ceiling mounted rod?
There are many variables that determine whether a drapery and rod are wall mounted or ceiling mounted. Wall mounted are usually preferred when the ceilings are taller that 8. Wall mounting is also more flexible for mounting purposes. For instance, the rod can be hung at a height that allows the drape to hang at the desired length, i.e., just off the top of the HVAC unit.
