You will need: • If you are using a terminal server, you will need a McGill NetWare UserID. (Technically, the NetWare UserID must be in the NDS mcgill_tree.) This allows you to access the Banner software from the file server. • A Banner (Oracle) Userid. This allows you to connect to the Oracle database. If you are using more than one database (for instance: Production, Training, and the Data Warehouse), then you will need a Userid on each one. The Userids will be the same, but the passwords will be different unless you keep them synchronized yourself. • For Minerva Login web access, you will need a McGill ID number and PIN. Note that for the Finance system, even if you access Banner through the Web, you will still need an Oracle Userid associated “behind the scenes” with your ID number/PIN.
