What user maintenance is required for the GSI 38 probe?
With use, cerumen can work its way up inside the probe tip which would then require cleaning. Should this occur, removal of the nose cone will become necessary. (Follow Probe Care Instructions contained in your Instruction Manual.) As a preventative maintenance measure, and to ensure that the nose cone of the probe unscrews easily, the following guidelines should be adhered to. Do not clean or remove the lubricant from the o-ring seated at the end of the threads on the probe. If the o-ring appears to be void of any lubricant, or if the nose cone itself is difficult to remove, apply lubricant according to the enclosed instructions.
