What use do bank employed financial planners have?

I don’t particularly find them useful. Of course financial planners are supposed to, by law inform you if they are benefiting from any investment you make. If you feel as though they have cashed in on you, then you do have the right to appeal. It all depends on the level on information you gave when they conducted a fact find with you. They use that information to inform you on the best investment. If the information you gave was limited/incorrect/out of date then it will be deemed to be a fault of yours.
