Your updates are normally downloaded automatically every time you connect to the internet. There are different updates for different sections of the product, such as Spam scanning or the different engines which search for different types of viruses. The complete virus definition database is approximately 10MB at this time, and an update will only include the changes to the database if the database on the computer is less than one week old.
