What University Staff policies can change in the future if not mandated by State law?

0

Under the authority granted to the University by the Restructuring Legislation and the Management Agreement, the University has the right to change any of the University Staff policies that are developed now or in the future. The legislation does mandate that certain employee rights and privileges remain the same for both University Staff and Classified Staff. This includes the state’s Standards of Conduct and the right to pursue grievance procedures; leave types other than annual; access to the short term disability benefit through VSDP; retirement options; and recognition of years of service for leave accrual, probationary periods, transfers to other state agencies, layoffs, seniority, and service awards.
