Harvard senior Chanequa Campbell was told by university officials that she will not recieve her diploma in sociology this spring, apparently due to an ongoing murder investigation, although Ms. Campbell was ordered to move off campus as well as not recieve her diploma, she has not been charged with any crime. On May 18, a botched drug deal led to the fatal shooting of Justin Cosby, the alleged dealer. Jabrai Jordan Copney, not a Harvard student, has been charged with the murder, and Chanequa Campbell and her friend, Brittany Smith, who was dating Copney, are named in the investigation. Ms. Smith will also not be getting her diploma, though shee, too, has not been charged with any crime. Harvard has offered no useful explanation why Ms. Campbell will be losing her diploma: Ms. Campbell was not expelled.
