What types of weep holes are being used and at what spacing?
The varieties of weep holes are increasing every year. Open head joints are still effective and one of the easiest to construct and verify. Rope wicks made of cotton sash cord are sitll commonly used for weeps. Weep tubes have declined in popularity because the 1/4″ tubing has at times been clogged during installation. More designers are using plastic cellular vents which consist of a honeycomb of passageways.
