What types of Vans are covered by the Daily Van Hire Excess Insurance Policy?
Our Daily Van Hire Excess Insurance is designed to be used with all Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) which can be driven on a standard car driver’s licence (category B in the UK). LCVs are typically under 3,500 KG in Maximum Allowable Weight (MAW) and do not require a specialist drivers licence. Vehicles which require a higher driver licence category or an additional test such as a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), or Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) licence are not covered by this policy. For more information on vehicle classifications and drivers licence categories, please visit direct.gov.uk Our Daily Van Hire Excess insurance is predominantly for use with goods vehicles, not passenger vehicles so minibuses or other vehicles designed for carrying more than 9 people including the driver are not covered by this policy.
