Well there is cowboy action shooting, one will need a single action handgu, a rifle of the same caliber at the gun, and a shot gun, all firearms to be period fire arms, or repoductions, than there is IPSC, International pistoal shooting comapation, manimly nad gun, but it can take in rifle and shot gun also, both have web sites and are on you tube, you can just traget shoot or hunt, and there is also renqcting, civil war reenactments are big in the states
