What types of skills are needed for the various business majors-accounting, business administration, and human resources management?
Each of these majors requires reasonably good mathematical skills, good communication skills (both written and oral communication), and good people skills. However, some of these are particularly important for some of the majors, as indicated below. • Accounting: Students majoring in accounting should have good mathematical and problem-solving skills, and they should enjoy work that requires attention to detail and accuracy. • Business Administration: Business administration majors should have an interest in the various areas of business (marketing, management, accounting, finance, human resources, etc.), and they should have good mathematical and problem-solving skills and an interest in working with people. • Human Resources: Students majoring in human resources management should have strong people skills and communication skills. Although not quite as important as in some of the other fields, a reasonable level of mathematical ability is needed. How does the on-line degree work? All
