University Police is located in Chase Hall and can be reached 24 hours a day at (716) 878-6333. In addition, the Residence Life Office provides on-call coverage by the Hall Directors at all times when the central office is closed. All of the residence halls are staffed by RAs from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., Friday and Saturday. Additionally, University Police Safety Aids (UPSAs) provide additional coverage in the lobby of various residence halls between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m. Each residence hall is locked 24 hours a day. Fire alarm systems and smoke and heat detectors are located in all of the halls and are linked directly to the Buffalo Fire Department. The Residence Life Office has installed security cameras in the lobbies of each residence hall and an exterior door alarm monitoring system for added security.
