What types of reporting does the OIG engage in?
A. Usually, we produce several types of reports: An Annual Report which is a public document. It summarizes the highlights of the years activities, including significant audits and investigations. Periodically, as audits are completed, our Office of Audits publishes Audit Reports. These, too, are public documents. Finally, the Office of Investigations, when appropriate, finalizes an investigation with a report to the Metro Board of Directors and the CEO, with the expectation that the CEO will take whatever action is appropriate. These reports are not public documents.
