What types of recreational opportunities are available from my home at Grants Meadows?
Recreational opportunities abound in the Bitterroot Valley. The Hamilton public golf course is located less than two miles from Grants Meadows. Downhill skiing at Lost Trail Powder Mountain Ski Area is approximately 45 minutes south of Hamilton and is known to have the best snow depth and the highest quality snow found in the northwest. Hamilton is also known as one of the fly-fishing capitals of the world with the blue ribbon Bitterroot River stretching the 90 mile length of the Bitterroot Valley. Other outdoor recreational activities include tennis, hiking, mountain biking, camping, wild-life viewing, hunting, horseback riding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, kayaking, river rafting and water sports on the alpine lakes surrounding the Hamilton area.
