What types of questions should applicants expect to be asked during a Jones interview?
Walker: Our interviews are very behavioral-oriented. We definitely delve into [an applicant’s] work experience, just as you probably would in any job interview. We’re going to do a lot of probing questions into their background. So people need to have some recall of their experiences and be able to share them in an interview mode. And then also [they should] talk about other important things — the types of things that are similar to what we’d look for in the application itself: leadership experiences and communication skills. Those are things that we’re going to [probe for] in an interview. Again, our interview is modeled after a job interview. Although I think ours tends to be on a little more of a friendly level than that. We really want to see who people are, because this is a smaller, more intimate type of environment and we want people who get along well with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and so forth.
