What types of protections will be on the buttes and in the stream corridors?
Currently there are no city regulations restricting land disturbing activities on steep slopes or in stream corridors, except for the City’s Urban Forestry Ordinance. Protection of these areas in the future may include setbacks from streams and wetlands, geotechnical reports to ensure soil stabilization of steep slope areas, clustering of development to minimize impervious surface area and removal of non-native vegetation.
