What types of projects will be funded by the AgriProcessing Initiative?

The AgriProcessing Initiative provides repayable contribution towards the cost of: • purchasing and installing new-to-company equipment and machinery in Canadian agri-processing facilities; and • contracting external expertise for services related to equipment installation, and consultation, design, and advice regarding new-to-company manufacturing technologies, processes and products. The equipment and machinery must be new-to-company, proven and available in the market place, enable the adoption of innovative and new-to-company manufacturing technologies and processes, and/or the introduction of new products; increase the competitiveness of the company, and result in benefits to Canada such as increased demand for primary agricultural products.
