What types of practicum is available in the face-to-face- program?
Students work with provincial or federal agencies, generally those involved with mapping applications (such as fisheries, wildlife, or environmental agencies), or with non-government private industry involved in anything related to mapping (eg. for marketing/demographic purposes), or academic faculties/service groups who have specific project goals that relate to mapping applications. If you are interested in a practicum in a certain region (eg. Victoria), be sure to mention this to the Faculty member responsible for Practicums when you start the program, since we can quite often accommodate this type of request.
