What types of planes does Locair operate?
Locair flies only twin engine, pressurized turboprops. We have a fleet of 3 Fairchild Metro III aircraft, with seating configurations ranging between 9 and 19 passenger seats; Locair will be adding 2 additional Metro IIIs to our fleet in March 2010. We also have a 1 Fairchild Metro II aircraft available for cargo-only operations. Our Metros, when carrying cargo, have a capacity between 2,500 pounds (when in a 9/10 seat configuration) up to 4,400 pounds (no passenger seats) and can fly up to 600 miles nonstop with this payload.
