As noted, there may be bacteria on the mote of dust which nucleates a rain drop but their might not be as well. Once rain water falls on the ground, then there are billions of little critters that would be very happy living here. You won’t see individual bacteria in a light microscope (there maybe a couple exceptions to that) but you will see ameobas, paramecium, hydras, lots of algea, and more in a drop of puddle water (where there is soil).
