Customer has three options: Option 1-Change the meter to a new model that has a pulse output or use meter with RS-232 port. Option 2-Retrofit the meter with a pulse encoder. A pulse encoder manufacturer is RioTronics < www.riotronics.com >. Another pulse encoder vendor is Daytronic Corporation < http://www.daytronic.com>. Option 3-Install current transformers around the main electric service just after the meter and attach the current transformers to a transducer with a pulse output.
