What types of materials are difficult to obtain through ILL?
The following categories of materials may be difficult or impossible to obtain. The ILL Department will attempt to do so, but these are often subject to more restrictive lending policies at most libraries and may not be available: • Non-circulating materials (often: reference books, rare or very old books, archival materials, special collections, etc.) • Very new books and current bestsellers • Entire issues of periodicals • Audiovisual materials (videos, CDs. etc.) • Genealogical materials • Patents, standards, specifications, and internal corporate/technical reports • Non-circulating theses and dissertations.
