The Park accepts type III or V Personal Floatation Devices. They must be Coast Guard approved (with readable sewn-in panel), undamaged and unmodified. It’s wise to bring extra lifejackets (beyond the required spares) because the ranger may disqualify a few. As of 2006 the requirement for spares is one per ten people, instead of one per boat.
