What types of jobs are available in Sweden?
Hi! I was born in Florida and married a Swede here in the US and already learned Swedish before I moved to Sweden in my early 20’s. I also have a double bachelor’s degree, am multilingual, and have experience in the medical field. I thought that my assets would really help me get a good job in Sweden, but after several years of trying to make a good living, I moved back to the US. In the first year I had a really terrible paying job teaching English to kids in daycare, who have at least one parent from an English speaking country. I lived in Ostersund then where the jobs were a bit scarce. The following year we moved to Stockholm, and so it was easy for me to get a similar job, but teaching English to kids ages 6-16 in school. That paid much better hourly, but hours were limited.
