An Inter-district Transfer Code (Field 2.34) is required only for the following types of inter-district transfers: • Formal Inter-district Transfers per Education Code Section 46600 • NCLB School Choice Transfers due to Program Improvement (intra- or inter-district) • NCLB School Choice Transfers due to a Persistently Dangerous School • District of Choice Transfers per Education Code Section 48313 The following types of transfers MUST NOT be identified as inter-district transfers in CALPADS: • Disciplinary transfers to Educational Options schools • Transfers that occur when the student has established residency when their parent or guardian works in the district per Education Code Section 48204(b) • Transfers to charter schools with open enrollment policies
