What types of information are included in Internet-based educational resources and which types are essential for instructional design?
• Are there unique characteristics of information-seeking patterns and behaviors of educators searching for instructional design information? These questions were explored in three different research studies. The first sought to determine the scope of educational materials that could be found on the Internet. The second explored how educators search for relevant educational materials. The third identified the types of information found in educational materials, and which of these educators consider the most important.
