What types of flexible working request are covered by the Regulations?
A flexible working request can be made for changes to: • The number of hours an employee is required to work • The times an employee is required to work • Where the employee is required to work – at home or a place of business of the employer. According to the DBERR’s guidance this covers working patterns such as annualised hours, compressed hours, flexitime, home working, job-sharing, self-rostering, shift working, staggered hours and term-time working.
