What types of finish is stone available in?
Many stones are available in a variety of finishes. These can include polished, filled and honed [the pores are filled with resin and machined to a matte or polished finish], brushed and chiseled [machined brushed surface with the edges slightly broken to achieve a more casual appearance], flamed [damp stone spalled by an acetylene torch] and textured [a natural split surface].
