What types of financial support are available for students?
• All students admitted into our program receive some sort of financial aid. Those admitted into our MA program receive support in the form of teaching appointments (if applicable, minimum score of 50 on the TSE; without that score, the support is not guaranteed) which comes with a partial remission of fees. Those admitted into our Ph.D. program receive financial support in the form of nonresident tuition fellowships (if needed), a partial remission of fees, and a combination of graduate teaching and research appointments. Please note: if English is not your native language one must score at least of 50 on the TSE in order to be appointed as a teaching assistant. Ph.D. students who are admitted without the TSE will be required to pass it (or an equivalent) within their first year of study (i.e. the end of your second semester). Continued financial support in second and later years (including summer support) is contingent upon passing this test.
