What types of fasteners are recommended for Millennium Decking?

Screws are determined by the structure to which the decking is being attached; usually lumber, but some times aluminum channel as with some dock kits. Ask your dealer which screws are recommended (hot dipped galvanized, stainless steel, ceramic coated or other) for the structural material you are working with, and conditions such as exposure to salt water. Because we use wood flour rather than wood strands or wood chips, there is no grain or orientation in the material. When fastening, a screw is not splitting a grain or fibres. Drilling pilot holes is generally not required. See the Millennium Decking Installation Guide for further details on Screws & Glues.
