What types of farmers insurance should agricultural producers consider?
If you run a family farm, you have to be an expert on many different topics. Of course, you need to know how to raise crops or livestock, and probably keep up on all of the current advances in horticulture and animal husbandry! But beyond raising animals and growing crops, you have the same needs as other businesses do. You need to protect all of your hard work and large investment with the proper insurance policies. Farm bureaus can help. These are actually independent organizations that are not part of the government. And yet they provide political action and services for farmers in the US. The US Farm Bureau is national, but there are state and local branches to help the farmers in their areas.
