What types of fabrics/clothes are best for making quilts?
It depends on how you plan to use your quilt. If it will receive moderate to heavy use (like a bedspread or baby play quilt) it is important that the fabrics can withstand regular use and laundering. If it will be used as a wallhanging or only see occasional use and washing, there is more leeway in the fabrics you can use.
