What types of fabric are best to dye with Colorhue?
Dye any white silk fiber: silk fabric, threads, ribbons, trims, any product labeled 100 % silk. Overdye 100% silk item: garments, men’s ties, antique notions or textiles, Japanese silk garments, anything with a silk label. If the fabric is a silk blend, the ‘Colorhue’ will dye the silk well and the other fiber will likely be tinted. Please note; the higher the quality of silk the better it will dye. Lower quality silk (such as silk mol) will absorb the dye differently and require more dye concentrate. ‘Colorhue’ will dye a few other fibers, such as rayon, wool and linen. These dyes will tint and color these fibers just listed, however, it requires extra time requirements and more dye concentrate. WE cannot guarantee the color fastness of cotton and synthetic fibers dyed with the ‘Colorhue’. Cotton (a vegetable fiber) requires more complicated and time consuming processes to obtain colorfast results. Give the ‘Colorhue’ textile dye a try.
