A variety of exemptions are available under Massachusetts Law to reduce property tax obligations for certain qualifying taxpayers: elderly persons, blind persons disabled veterans, surviving spouse or orphaned minor child, widow or orphaned minor of police officer or fire fighter, and extreme hardship.
