What types of engineering programmes are offered?
The engineering department offers Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in Engineering, in the areas of • Aerospace • Mechanical • Electrical and Electronic • Operations and Manufacturing These courses are designed to prepare you for a range of technical and management careers as an engineer or technician. In addition the courses will allow for the range of academic progression routes that can lead to Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status. How are the programmes structured? There are more than thirty subject units available to study on our Higher National programmes with an emphasis on flexibility, and tailoring programmes of study to suit. This flexibility has attracted many major regional employers, along with the many small business supporting the career development of their employees.
