What types of encryption processes does ThinknetMail use to keep my data secure?
The biggest concern for ThinknetMail is the data of our customers. Each user account is only accessible via a password-protected and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encrypted connection. All passwords are store using advanced one-way hash tables to prevent access. All data is stored in a storage area network with a real-time mirror of all data. A backup system provides the third copy that is stored on a robotic tape-based backup system allowing long-term data protection. Hardware and software Checkpoint redundant firewalls along with strong encryption using the new Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and 168-bit Triple-DES ensure that data is never compromised.
