Generally, construction events that disturb one or more acres of land are a regulated activity under the AZPDES (or NPDES) through a general permit. In Arizona, regulated construction events (not including Indian Lands, which are permitted under a NPDES general permit by EPA-Region IX) are permitted under AZPDES Construction General Permit (Permit No. AZG2003-001), which was issued in February 2003 and is in effect through February 2008.
