What types of clothes are charities most in need of?

They need ALL kinds of clothing for ALL kinds – ages and sizes – of people. Any basic necessity type clothing – like diapers, underwear and socks or even pantyhose – is always needed most. There can never possibly be enough assortment of all sizes on hand, and available for all peoples in need. All those items are best if NEW in packages, simply because it’s underwear. But if you can give clean, used socks and underwear, that aren’t “holy” then bag ’em up! Charity organizations aren’t gonna turn down that old evening gown you’re offering up, but not every charity operates a storefronts where they can sell such items. Most charities would rather have something that’s immediately useable, not requiring resale in order to benefit them. Consider all seasons and clothing needed: Coats, boots, scarfs and gloves for winter months; Bathing suits/trunks, flip flops, wraps or terry robes for children, toddlers and young teens; Remember accessories too – umbrellas, shoehorns on long handles, belt

Charities need basic types of clothes, such as plain trousers, slacks, blouses, shirts, etc. Children’s clothing is especially needed, including teenager’s clothing. And don’t forget new underwear for all sizes, from diapers for babies all the way up through diapers for adults. All clothing given should be clean and in good repair. In other words, if you won’t wear it because it needs to be cleaned or fixed, don’t give it to a charity that doesn’t have the means to get it ready to be worn.
