WHAT TYPES OF CERTIFICATES/LICENSES ARE REQUIRED?
In Pinellas County, the law requires at a minimum, that a telecom company (hereafter referred to as a contractor) be certified by the Construction Licensing Board (PCCLB). The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) requires that each contractor be registered with them. The State Electrical Board (ECLB) also offers a State Certificate that enables the contractor to do work in any County within the State of Florida. As a consumer, one should always check with their local city or county government building department to see what is required by law. They are normally very willing to help ensure that the local laws/codes are adhered to and welcome any State Certified/Licensed Contractors.
