What types of caskets/containers are used for cremation?
The same type of caskets used for burials are often selected for cremation. In addition, combustible containers specifically made for cremation are also available. These different container types must be considered along with weight of the remains in operating cremation equipment. However, the final results and emissions vary minimally. It is recommended that metal, plastic and fiberglass caskets or containers not be used for cremation.
