What types of career are there in fashion?
Fabric buyer, financial accountant, merchandiser, quality control analyst, production manager (making sure the clothes are being sewen according to how they were designed), color specialist, researcher/scientist (into new and better fabrics/dyes etc…), international shipping and receiving clerk, advertising coordinator, fashion show and promotions coordinator, media specialist, trend forecaster, model scout, theft and loss prevention officer, retail store manager/district manager, hair and makeup artist… all these and more are part of the fashion industry. Education would be (depending on which part you want to get into) art lessons, fashion school, advertising school, public relations courses, accounting and statistics, human resources, and lots of work experience in retail sales.
