What types of cabins are available?
Typically there are 5 basic types of cabins; Inside, Ocean View, Balcony, Mini Suite, and Suite. An inside cabin has no windows. An ocean view cabin typically has a port-hole or full sized picture window that doesn’t open. A balcony cabin usually has sliding glass does that open to a private balcony large enough for 2 chairs and a small table. A mini suite is usually larger than a standard cabin, usually has a separate sleeping/sitting area, and may or may not have a balcony. Mini suites on some cruise lines do have additional amenities. A suite is usually a substantially larger cabin consisting of separate sleeping area(s), living area, and sometimes eating area. Many come with butler service and/or special amenities like priority boarding, assistance with shore excursions, etc. Suites with balconies usually enjoy much larger balconies (usually enough for several chairs and a larger table). Some ocean view, balcony, mini-suite, suite categories have partially or totally obstructed vie
