In fact, without a continuous flow of apprentices becoming skilled journey workers, quality industrial standards would be severely affected. Recently, the U. S. Dept. of Labor has developed apprenticeship programs for Automotive System Specialist, CNC Setup Programmer, Dental Assistant, Hotel Associate, Low-voltage System Installer, to name a few.
