What types of businesses can receive pollution prevention assistance?
The NYSDEC Pollution Prevention Unit will try to help anyone who needs it, but we have focused our efforts so far on some specific small business sectors. We have developed helpful manuals for automotive maintenance shops, printers, metal finishers, health care facilities, electronics and computers, wood furniture shops, and college campuses. We are developing manuals for marinas, pulp and paper businesses, and more. And we have general pollution prevention information applicable to all small businesses. All of the manuals and registration information for workshops are available online.
