The plans call for a food store of more than 30,000 square feet and overall 175,000 square feet of retail/restaurants. There is a mix that produces a vibrant downtown during both the day and evening hours. Town Square also includes enhanced cultural amenities such as VisArts (the former Rockville Arts Place). There is also a new “incubator” for new technology businesses, managed by Montgomery County.
