What types of books sell more?
Malik: All types of books are sold- the category is varied. The case of the buyer is like the moth- he will go wherever there is a flame. If a book catches the buyers’ attention, it gets sold. What is required is proper exposure. We, here, are like a huge book store; we provide ample exposure to all kinds of books and bibliophiles are bound to grab what catches their fancy. You can never tell what a buyer will like. Take for example the NBT van that roams the Vikaspuri area. They report such immense sales- of all kinds of subjects. The important thing is for the book to reach the reader, not the other way round. Q: Where do you see the Delhi Book Fair going in future? Malik: Since the fair started in 1995, our clients have stuck to us. Those that joined us fourteen years back are still with us and more are coming every year.
