What types of books does McFarland publish?
We are mostly a scholarly monograph and reference book publisherin a great variety of subjectstraditionally marketing to libraries worldwide, though we also sell vigorously through online means to individuals. The company (celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2009) is now one of the leading publishers of nonfiction in the United States, with about 4,300 titles published to date, including nearly 3,000 currently in print. McFarland publishes more than 360 new titles each year for a worldwide market; many of them have received awards as outstanding reference or academic works. We also publish six scholarly journals.
